At The Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA you can measure your shoe size against the shoe sizes of many of the former NBA players. That is Big Dude’s very large, size 16 foot compared to Shaquille O’Neal’s foot. Big Dude was 14 when this picture was taken. I know, it’s crazy!! And yes, Big Dude is tall to match his shoe size…6 foot 6 and possibly/probably still growing. Watch out Shaq!

I had no idea your son was that tall! Amazing!
Wow, I thought my husband’s foot at a 13 was big!! Awesome pic and wow your son may have a career in basketball ahead of him, lol!!
He’s hoping he does have a basketball career Janine…that’s all he focuses on — and school too of course.
What a cool thing to do! I think the shoe sizes over here are a little different, but judging by how you explained it, it sounds pretty big!
Yes, it is a big foot. I can’t buy him shoes in a regular store anymore. I have to order them online!
Wow! That’s a cool shot! And a big foot.
Is he so tall that he hovers over you?
I’m only 5 foot 8 so yes, he hovers over me AND my husband, who is 6 foot 1…we think he inherited the tall Grandparent genes or something.
Ha! That’s hilarious.
And it’s a Big Foot that is the “same size as O’Neal”. HAHAH. No, really. Size 16!?! How in the world do you find that boy shoes!? Hehe. And still growing! WHOA! No WONDER he plays ball.
Tweeted!
I have to order all his shoes online — thank god for Zappos!
Holy cow! Really? I thought my husband was big at a size 13. My 9 year old already wears a size bigger than me. Sigh. I have a small foot though – only a seven.
Yes, really and let me tell you, it’s not easy to find size 16 shoes, let alone pants for a tall, skinny kid. I order all his clothes online…thankful for Zappos!
Oh my goodness… not to far off. How cool though! Not the need to buy more shoes, but maybe you have a future NBA star on your hands!
wow! That’s awesome!! So, he’s training to be the next basketball legend, huh?!!
Well, he’s just hoping to make the high school varsity team next year (he’s on the Freshman team now)…but yeah he continues to have high hopes!
Whoa! Must watch for him in the NBA! Crazy that his foot is already that big.
Well, he’s still considered “short” for the NBA, but we’ll see if him and his feet keep growing.:)
This is one remarkable pix. Going on the footsteps of Shaq the great.
Great capture, Emily
Wow! You know what they say about men with big feet … they have a hard time finding flip flops to fit! lol I want to be your son’s sports agent! Let’s get him a sports scholarship!
I’m definitely with you on trying to get him that sports scholarship! Right now he’s re-habbing an injured knee but is scheduled to be back on the court March 1st! And yes, big feet…big hands.
Guess the same holds true of women too! My gran has big feet and has trouble finding shoes to fit. Thanks for sharing, Emily! A hilarious one as usual!
