Wordless Wednesday!

January 16, 2013 in Uncategorized

Today I am participating in Wordless Wednesday, where we usually loquacious bloggers keep our writing mouths shut and instead present to you a picture or photograph. Thank you to Cyndi at Pictimilitude who has suggested to her blogging friends that we try and participate in this weekly event. As you look at my photo below, think about the following questions and please let me know your answers in the comments:

Can you tell who or what this is?

Does this photo remind you of anything?

How does this photo make you feel?

I promise this is not a psychological study or any attempt to get at your subconscious.  I’m just curious about whether you have any reaction to my picture — that’s it!

Thanks for participating!

What a cute _____?

I am on my phone, but it looks like a cute little dog, but not exactly sure what the dog is doing. Probably totally wrong though and thanks for the challenge :)

She is a cute dog, though not so little (50 lbs) and she’s waiting to go outside. She’s our Labradoodle named Matilda, the only other girl in our house besides me! :)

Cyndi January 16, 2013 at 12:18 pm

What a cute puppy dog! Oh with lovely curly hair and fun frizzies! What a WONDERFUL picture! 😀

ohboymom January 16, 2013 at 4:45 pm

Thanks Cyndi, I was trying to zoom in on her nose, which is quite large for her cute face…glad you liked it!

Amy January 16, 2013 at 12:32 pm

Pup looking for food? Really cute pic. :)

ohboymom January 16, 2013 at 4:45 pm

She’s waiting to go outside in this pic and her name is Matilda. I was trying to photograph her nose, which we always say looks like a stuffed animal’s glued on nose. :)

Ruchira January 16, 2013 at 1:33 pm

puppy :)

IF my son sees this pix…he would go AWWW!

He has been asking me for a pet lately…hmm

loved the cutie in this pix, Emily.

ohboymom January 16, 2013 at 4:44 pm

Uh oh, you may be in trouble Ruchira if your son is asking for a pet…if you’re interested, our dog is a Labradoodle and they are GREAT!

Stacy Harris January 16, 2013 at 2:26 pm

I am going with a puppy who wants to go outside to play! When do we find out when we are right? Cute picture!

ohboymom January 16, 2013 at 4:43 pm

Right you are Stacy – ding, ding, ding! That dog is Matilda, our sweet Labradoodle, with a big nose, which is what I was trying to highlight in this photo. :)

Audrey Howitt January 16, 2013 at 4:52 pm

What a cute nose!!! Play with me! Play wwith me!

ohboymom January 16, 2013 at 11:17 pm

Thanks Audrey and yes, that was what I was trying to focus on — her cute, big nose. :)

ohboymom January 16, 2013 at 11:15 pm

Correct! It’s my pup (actually she’s 5) Matilda…I was trying for a closeup of her nose but she was too eager to go outside and kept moving around.

Julia January 16, 2013 at 7:09 pm

Dog! It’s your dog, asking to go out – it reminds me of my own pooch and it’s a warm and fuzzy feeling :)

ohboymom January 16, 2013 at 11:14 pm

Yup, you got it right, but I had a feeling you would. :)

LisaD January 16, 2013 at 9:40 pm

That’s a cute doggie! I’m assuming yours! Can’t really figure out what she is doing. It doesn’t really remind me of anything, except that I love all dogs! And it made me smile.

ohboymom January 16, 2013 at 11:12 pm

Yes, it is definitely Matilda and she’s waiting to go outside…I don’t think you’ve ever met her, which is so sad because our dogs were once our whole lives (and still a huge part, of course!)

LisaD January 16, 2013 at 9:43 pm

By the way did hear about the labradoodle that was in NYC that was cut like a lion? When I saw it on the news I thought of you. People really thought it was a lion and they were so afraid they called the police.

ohboymom January 16, 2013 at 11:11 pm

Yes, I saw the video of the escape Labradoodle that looked like a lion — it was hysterical!!

clark January 16, 2013 at 10:18 pm

usually one of the first ‘words’ a dog learns ‘I want to go out..now’

very simple and very direct, dogs are perfect lifeforms

good pic

ohboymom January 16, 2013 at 11:09 pm

I couldn’t agree more about dogs being perfect lifeforms…I have many favorite dog-related quotes, but here’s one of them:”Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love unless he’s owned a dog. A dog can show you more honest affection with a flick of his tail than a man can gather through a lifetime of handshakes.”

Terrye January 16, 2013 at 10:47 pm

I love the perspective on this one. Not your usual angle! Great job, Emily! :)

ohboymom January 16, 2013 at 11:05 pm

Thanks Terrye….yes, I was trying for something a bit different, but I may have to stick with my usual technique. A photographer I’m not!

Terrye January 16, 2013 at 11:17 pm

I like your originality…don’t do the main stream stuff…be yourself. :)

Melanie Chisnall January 17, 2013 at 1:14 am

Cute! It looks like a little dog looking out the window, or waiting for someone to come home. :)

Mrs. Tucker January 17, 2013 at 1:06 pm

Puppy! Wait. Adorable Puppy!

ohboymom January 17, 2013 at 6:27 pm

Correct! Her name is Matilda and she’s a Labradoodle.

Kristi January 17, 2013 at 7:45 pm

Well, obviously, I’m way late to the game. Had I been first, I’d have one the prize for guessing eager doggie! But, nope, I was late. Again. Sigh. I like the idea of Wordless Wednesday, mostly because I’m lazy and could use the break. Hope you don’t mind if I steal the idea next week (if I remember)…

ohboymom January 17, 2013 at 9:05 pm

I don’t mind at all..it’s not my idea anyway and apparently lots of bloggers do it. I too don’t mind the writing break mid-week. Feel free to join in next Wednesday!
