I think what I love most about this picture is the fact that it was taken by Little Dude when he was seven years-old. I wanted to capture the setting sun behind us, so I asked him to snap the picture. He took his assignment very seriously. I think the fact that the photo shows just our silhouettes makes it pretty cool…Not bad for a Little Guy, huh?

Awesome for a little guy at that age and so very pretty. I love seeing sunsets in pictures and the different colors that can be cast from it
Thanks – yes, he was proud of himself for getting the sunset…so what if you can’t see our faces?
I love this! And that is terrific for Little Dude! He really captured the moment beautifully.
Beginner’s luck!
Fantastic picture! I know I didn’t take pictures like that when I was a kid – I always managed to chop people’s heads off in the photo.
Ha – yes, I was surprised he kept our heads in the photo too! Thanks so much for commenting.
This is beautiful! I spy a future photographer!
Ha – we shall see! Could have been beginner’s luck?
I think you might have a photographer on your hands! Great photo!
Well, he does enjoy it, but he may have just gotten lucky here!
wow…this is beautiful how the sunset has been captured just in time
loved it, Emily.
Voted for you on the TMB. Did not know you were on it…until now
cheers!
Thanks Ruchira and really appreciate the vote too…I’m pretty bad at self-promotion and getting those clicks for TMB so thank you!
Such a wonderful thing to find those moments of intimacy! Really lovely!
Lucky! That’s a great shot! What a cool kid:)
That’s a stunning photo! And the fact that your (then) 7-year old took it, makes it all the more special. I’m sure it’s one you constantly refer back to…lovely!
Hey, Emily….he’s got the makings of a great photographer!!!
Wow! Love this photo! Isn’t it funny that us “adults who know what we’re doing” can spend so long trying to capture the perfect photo and then Little Dude gets it perfectly? LOVE it. >3
I’m glad you could appreciate the irony of my Little Dude taking a great picture!
